Which Tool to add a new key to Land Rover Sport 2006

How to do with all keys lost on Land Rover Sport 2006 Transponder PCF7936? Here you go.

Disclaimer: I’m not expertise at this. All suggestions/solutions here are shared in the forum. I hold no responsibility of what you will try.

Transponder: 7936 or 7941?

About the new vogue after 2006, they use 7936 or 7941

You cannot expect the remote to work with 7936
only remote with integrated 7941 can work , no other way round

Range Rover: Sport (2005-2010)
Use PCF7936 or Silca T14 – JMA TP12 transponder or original BLANK remote key.

If you have working key for this car you can add 7936 blank or new blank remote for RR with 7941 without need of preparing it. But if you have all keys lost, solution is key ordered from dealer by VIN or auto key programmers.

Transponder PCF7941:

PCF7941 must be prepared with Eeprom data via programmer, and then transponder and remote data. Otherwise blank PCF7941 will only start the car,but remote won’t work

Transponder PCF7936:

If you have a working key on Sport, LR3, you can add blank 7936 by SKP900
However, if you have Vogue , you need precoded 7936

All key lost for Sport, LR3, you have 2 solution ONLY:
you get dealer key
OR
you use TMPRO to generate 7936, then you can program remote key blank

That is, with TMPRO, you can program transponder 7936;
otherwise, you need virgin key.
That is only solution and if you want pcf7936 ————- (Tango, TMPRO2, TM100, zed full etc)…

Note: used remote for sport doesnt work since the transponder data is integrated with the remote
they need to get unlocked , handful of people does this in the US
for vogue used remote it does work as it is still like BMW system

Edit: there are optional solutions of adding a new key through OBD when all keys are lost: obdstar x300 dpObdstar x300 pro3Vxdiag vcx nano Land RoverVCM II Land Rover,SKP900, AK90+, etc…

Here take two.

AK90+: success!

The red box AK90+ off obdii365.com is used to program a new blank transponder successfully.
The transponder chip itself can be purchased for less than $5 USD from various locksmith supply stores. The 2006 Range Rover HSC calls for the Phillips PCF7935AS (44 Chip) transponder. The PCF7930 will not work.
The transponder chip itself failing is rare. Check the EWS-3 IMMO box for a failing ELMOS chip (it communicates data between the EWS-3 MCU and the vehicle data bus) If this is the problem, the ELMOS chip can be replaced and you won’t need to go thru the key programming or ECM/EWS alignment programming.

SKP900: Success!
SuperOBD skp900 also programs new keys to Land Rover with all keys lost

Actually, obdstar x300 dp is the best investment if you wanna program keys to universal cars; while Vxdiag vcx nano Land Rover will be cost-effective if you are a DIY user only.

Update: obdstar x300 pro3/key master/x300 dp is programming new keys to Land Rover

Mitsubishi Key Programming: with FVDI2? SKP900? or Lonsdor?

Mitsubishi key programming tutorial…Here you go.

Tips here including:
Part 1: How to do Mitsubishi key programming?
Part 2: How to choose a good Mitsubishi key programmer
option 1: FVDI2 Mitsubishi
option 2: SuperOBD SKP-900
option 3: Lonsdor K518ise
Part 3: Conclusion

Part 1: How to do Mitsubishi key programming?
Here,take 2014 Mitsubishi.
To program a spare key to your 2014 Mitsubishi, you need two keys that are already programmed and working on the vehicle. If you only have one operational key, your replacement key will require programming from your local dealer or a locksmith with the correct equipment (Part 2 will help choose a working Mitsubishi key programmer). This procedure should also work for many other Mitsubishi models.

Standard Key (Non-Push-to-Start Models)
step 1:
Enter the vehicle and shut the door. Insert the first working key into the ignition and turn it to the “On” position. Wait five seconds, then turn the ignition off and remove the key.
step 2:
Insert the second working key within 20 seconds of removing the first, then turn it to the “On” position. Observe the immobilizer light on the instrument cluster, and shut off the ignition when the light begins to blink.
step 3:
Insert the new key to be programmed into the ignition within 20 seconds and turn it to the “On” position. Observe the immobilizer light. Turn the ignition off when the light illuminates solid for 30 seconds then turns off. Test operation of the key. Repeat this procedure for any additional spare keys you would like to program.

F.A.S.T. Key Programming
step 1:
Sit in the vehicle with both valid F.A.S.T keys and the key you wish to program. Press the push-to-start button to turn the system on, but don’t start the engine.
step 2:
Press the unlock button on the first working F.A.S.T key and hold it. After four seconds, press and hold the lock button while holding the unlock button. Within 10 seconds of pressing the lock button, release it, then release the unlock button. Repeat this step within 30 seconds with the second working F.A.S.T key.
step 3:
Observe the immobilizer light on the instrument cluster. It will blink, then turn solid for 30 seconds. Your new key is programmed when you see the immobilizer light turn off and you hear a buzzer sound for three seconds. Repeat this section for any other F.A.S.T. keys you wish to program.

Part 2: How to choose a good Mitsubishi key programmer

option 1: FVDI2 Mitsubishi
fvdi2-Mitsubishi
The key programming function currently works by CAN. Please, see below the supported vehicles. In the next versions we will add more vehicles to this list FREE for all customers who own the key learning function. We also plan to support vehicles with KLine interface.
Keys can be programmed when the pin code of the vehicle is known. The Mitsubishi Commander has a database of default pin codes. The pin code can be changed with the Mitsubishi Commander. If the pin code is changed – next time when a key is programmed the new pin code should be entered.

Part 3: Conculsion

In summary, Mitsubishi key programming can be done with all key tools above.

But how to choos the one you need indeed?
Here are some tips for- better read it before you decide to have a Mitsubishi key programmer.
Have a FVDI2 commader for Mistubishi if you have Mitsubishi only. FVDI2 is able to not only add new keys but also help diagnostic tests. Good for DIYers.
Have a SuperOBD SKP900 or Lonsdor K518ISE if you are a locksmith or have many cars need program new keys. SKP900 is popular and receive good feedback.People with it never upset themselves. But, SuperOBD is gonna stop SK900 production so it’s not good for future cars. The last, Lonsdor K518ise wins. It’s a professional universal key programming in the the year 2017 and 2018.
